Hot Wax, Water

I weigh 145 pounds right now, and can
calmly wait around; I've got the time
—which is fine.

I can't support my weight and drown when
'ere I get inside the pool. And when some
divers dive and pike

their bodies go thin in the middle, organs
displaced up inside their chest cavities; like
hot wax blocks contrived

to pull apart at the centers.

I go quickly down the road on sidewalk
on the side. I'm weightless, hollow, thinning
and decried.
