[An elephant]

An elephant
has a sweet sweet taste besides

the riverbanks
and soaked in lye

a litmus strip
of paper reads

the luscious dollop wavering
recedes.

The roundness of
a nipple crest

the whorl of hair
upon a chest or else

or otherwise another
group of things together

less—somehow—
than their sum in leather.
